A Place of Harmonious Consciousness on Earth

In the clear, fragrant breezes of the mountains above the Sonoran-Mojave High Desert, there rises a Stonehenge Crown of ancient granite monoliths and Colossus boulders. Like a circle of standing sentinels, they seem convened in holy council to voice their wisdoms to the wilderness creatures in their many caves, and to consult in low dialogs with the village of Pinyon Pines and Joshua Trees at their feet. These stuff, ovoid monuments which tower in majesty and power above the Bowl do, in fact, compel contemplations of other great ancients in their ages, and speak softly of deep fellowships which endure across time.


It is in this enchanted setting and uniquely apt condition that a genuinely innovative Golden rule society is being grown. And here a remarkable electro-mechanical phenomenon is recalled: the Piezoelectric Effect. Compression of a Quartz Crystal generates an electrostatic voltage across the crystal, creating an electric field around it. Considering now that each rock is composed mainly of such crystals, and then that the entire Crown of monuments surrounds this little valley, the resulting field of energies over the area can only be imagined.


In the Boulder Sleep Community we are attempting to bring about a synthesis and blend of the experience and wisdom of the past, with the experience, wisdom, mind, heart, intuition, and the necessities of the present, toward an informed, enlightened, economized and clarified future. Safeguards and policies must expand flexibly to ensure new growth; but not be permitted to function as stasis becoming an environment in which conspiring and ambitious men opportunize and usurp that which belongs to everyone. Each person must be encouraged and taught to innovate and communicate freely, toward the improvement and growth and the flowering of potentials of themselves, and of the community. The best ideas and energies and opportunities of every person must be realized, and be contributed in the life-giving climate of love: and the most sensitive, open and meaningful communications must be not only actualized and encouraged, but also taught and demonstrated among all persons of all ages and faiths and conditions as exchanges of gifts. Thus the community is a synergy of the best, most enduring and informed parts of many cultures, religions , disciplines, wisdoms and properties of both the past and the present. It will both multilevel through all ages and advancements, and also an evolving model of a whole, integrated society; embracing the vacations and professions, housing, living, commerce, education, religions, recreations, services and other activities. It will establish the foundations, as well as implement the advancements, across the arts and sciences.


A community such as this is, therefore, an innovation; an experiment in social democracy on a scale compact enough to permit many adjustments; to reorient and adapt truly in the spirit and function of the Golden Rule. We must innovate and resolve beyond contest and competition toward an enlightened economized and harmonized Growth Climate Society; characterized by individual initiative and comprehensive communication. Our deeds as well as desires must secure the greatest good for the greatest number. Crucial not only to the Community, but to the continued existence of our species, and to the preservation of our Earth itself, is the securing and creation now of wise stewardship of both man and nature. All advancements and aspirations must center upon the vision, judgment, wisdom and intuition of an adequate leadership. Most greatly welcomed and needed now will be any person who feels that he or she has a special sill, or a self-motivated initiative which would be a contribution factor to help organize and found this new social dominion, and get it rolling.


For such contributive starters and leaders as these, there is the prospect of entering a new world of resolving, positive reinforcements, and an accelerated growth of conciseness and function, and an opportunity to magnify one’s good thoughts and deeds into very significant works among great people.


This, perhaps, could not be found nowhere else but here. Living within such an enlightened, emancipated, loving society must be, itself, the ultimate reward.
